Orgkhim Biochemical Holding is building “green” oils plant in Johor
On February 12, 2018 a branch of the Russian Orgkhim Biochemical Holding – Orgkhim Singapore Industries Pte. Ltd launched the construction of the manufacturing facility in Tanjung Langsat, Johor, Malaysia to produce non-carcinogenic “green” extender oils used in tires, synthetic rubber and rubber compounds. The major investor of the project is the Russian Gazprombank. The ceremony was attended by Orgkhim Managing Director Nikolay Khodov, Gazprombank Vice-President Evgeny Kogan, Russian Trade Representative in Singapore Alexey Dakhnovskiy and Russian Trade Representative in Malaysia Alexey Slizkov.
This is the first Russian investment in the Malaysian industrial sector with Singapore serving as a springboard to the Southeast Asia markets. When commissioned in the second quarter of 2019 the plant is expected to produce annually up to 70 thousand tons of oils which are much in demand by the world leading tire and rubber manufacturers.
