Information for foreign nationals on sanitary and epidemiological control rules when entering the territory of the Russian Federation
The Order of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation No. 22 dated October 17, 2022 “On Amendments to the Order of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation No. 7 dated March 18, 2020 “On ensuring the isolation regime in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19” has been published and has already come into force: http://publication.pravo.gov.ru/Document/View/0001202210200025.
According to the Order, the requirement for foreigners traveling to the Russian Federation to present a negative PCR test result when boarding an aircraft and when crossing the State border has been cancelled.
For Russians returning to the country, the requirement to undergo PCR testing within three calendar days upon arrival and to comply with the isolation regime until the results are received has been canceled.
Thus, starting from October 21, 2022, all those arriving in the Russian Federation (regardless of the mode of transport) are exempted from the obligation to undergo a laboratory test for COVID-19.
